William Gerard Costello, known affectionately as Bill to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, in Plant City, Florida. Born on June 2, 1950, in New York, New York, Bill was a man whose presence was characterized by his loving and kind nature.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, William T. Costello and Gertrude McDermott. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, most notably shared with his cherished wife of 40 years. Together, they built a life filled with mutual respect, unwavering support, and an abundance of affection.
A man of deep faith, Bill's commitment to his Catholic beliefs was a guiding force throughout his life. His spirituality was a wellspring of comfort and strength, both for himself and for those he encountered. Bill's passion for the arts was another defining aspect of his life. He had a particular fondness for art caricature, finding joy and humor in the playful art form. His love for art extended to a keen interest in antiques, especially those from the Civil War era, which he collected with enthusiasm and a discerning eye.
Bill's warm heart and generosity of spirit were evident to all who knew him. His ability to connect with people, coupled with his genuine kindness, left a lasting impression on his community. He will be remembered as a man who lived his values and cherished the beauty in the world and the people around him.
