William Jerry Brock, also known as Jerry, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Auburndale, Florida, at the age of 80.
Jerry was born on October 12, 1945, in Moultrie, Georgia. He was the son of the late Bernice and Mildred Brock. He carried the strength, warmth, and spirit of his hometown throughout his life. He was a proud Vietnam War veteran whose service reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment to others. Those who knew him remember a man who lived with honor, humility, and quiet strength, and who brought a steady presence to every season of life.
Jerry spent forty five years driving over the road, and was known to never be late for a delivery, and was known to all his trucker friends as "Georgia Boy" after years of dedicated service, he eventually retired with Tom Fellows Trucking. He was the kind of man others could count on, and he took pride in doing his work well and in being a man of integrity.
Above all else, Jerry was a family man. He cherished his loved ones deeply and found great joy in the time he spent with them. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brock, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage filled with devotion, love, and companionship. He also leaves behind his children, Gina Sullivan and her husband Mack, William "J.J." Brock Jr. and his wife Tiffany, Anthony Ashley and his wife Amy, Pamela Beck, Brian Ashley and his wife Sherry, Belinda Greenlee, Jerrilynn Brock, and Junior Brock and his wife Marie. He was preceded in death by his children Kimberly Brock and Timmy Ashley.
Jerry is also survived by his siblings Marsha Summerlin, Janell Hunnicutt, Joey Brock and his wife Belinda, and LaVon Brock and Gary Brock, both of whom preceded him in death. His memory will also be treasured by several nieces and nephews, thirty grandchildren, and thirty seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by his love, his guidance, and his example.
Jerry will be remembered as an amazing, loving, and caring man whose generous heart touched the lives of many. He was loving in the way he cared for his family, generous in the way he gave of himself, and optimistic in the way he approached life. His presence brought comfort and encouragement, and his laughter, kindness, and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family and friends of Jerry Brock will hold his memory close with gratitude for the life he lived and the love he shared. His legacy will continue through the family he adored, the friendships he formed, and the many lives he touched along the way. Though he is no longer with us, the example he set and the love he gave will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
