Wayne proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, a period of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his years.

Wayne was predeceased by his loving parents, Jack Loy and Geraldine Smart. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his daughter, Tammy Wolfe; his siblings, John Loy and Mary Loy Hammond; his adored grandchildren, Joshua and Nye MacNicol; and his five great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy in his later years.
