Trudy Jo Wilber, a cherished and loving figure in her community, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at her home in Plant City, Florida. Born on July 12, 1960, in Tampa, Florida, Trudy's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her boundless generosity.
For over 30 years, Trudy served as a school bus driver in Hillsborough County, where she touched the lives of countless children with her kindness and care. Her commitment to her profession was more than a job; it was a way of bringing joy and safety to the young lives she was entrusted with daily.
Trudy's world revolved around her beloved husband, Karl Wilber, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. She is survived by a family that included their children Heather Haynes & her husband Waylon, Buddy Beckum, Kenneth Wilber, Bryan Wilber, and Tuezday Hall & her husband Scott. Trudy took immense pride in her role as a mother, instilling values of love and hard work in her children. Her parents, Sara Lynch and the late Ralph Martin, nurtured her caring nature, which she passed on to the next generation.
Trudy's sister, Kim Murray (husband, Robert), shared a special bond with her, rooted in countless memories and unwavering support. Her love extended to her adored grandchildren: John Wayne, James Stewart, Tinsley, Sissy, J-Bug, Ada, Skyla, Winter, Baylee, John Robert, and Serenity. Each grandchild held a unique place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Trudy's interests reflected her love for the simple joys in life. She found pleasure in scouring yard sales and flea markets for treasures, a hobby that often turned into an adventure with family and friends. Her many animals over the years were treated with the same love and care she showed to her family, further highlighting her nurturing spirit.
Those who knew Trudy will remember her as the epitome of selflessness. She was always the first to offer help and the last to ask for anything in return. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she impacted many lives through her acts of kindness.
Trudy's legacy is one of love and generosity. It is seen in the smiles of the children she safely transported to school, in the cherished items found at flea markets, and in the warm embrace she offered to anyone in need. Her spirit will continue to live on through the lives of her family and the countless individuals she touched.
As we say goodbye to Trudy Jo Wilber, we celebrate a life extraordinarily well-lived. Her loving presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will forever be a source of comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Trudy's life was a journey of love, laughter, and selfless service, and her story will be told with fondness and admiration for generations to come.
