Thomas Francis Bird

Thomas Francis Bird was born November 15, 1946 to Francis R. Bird and Anne L. Wood Bird. He graduated from Maur Hill May 1964. He spent one year at Kansas State University then    worked in his dad's store, Birdies at 9th and Laramie. He went into the US Air Force in November of 1967. After four years as an Air Traffic Control Operator, he settled back in  Atchison working for his father and father-in-law at Suburban Heating.

He married Kathleen A. Bird January 27, 1968 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. After his father's death and Walter Hays' retirement the family moved to Lakeland, Florida and he was the Service Manager at Ward's Air Conditioning till June 2005. He then worked at Lowe's till his retirement due to health in 2015.

He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, his daughter Allison R Harvill, son-in-law Mike Harvill and his sister, Carol Ann Fliehler of Fredericksburg, Texas. His father Francis and mother Anne preceded him in death.
