Teresa Louise Wood, affectionately known as Pearl to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 62 in her hometown of Plant City, Florida. Born on February 7, 1963, in the same close-knit community, Pearl's life was a testament to her loving nature and her passion for creativity.
Pearl was predeceased by her father, James Lamar, and is survived by her devoted mother, Delores Williams. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her husband, Clifford "Chip" Wood, and her cherished children, Ashley Connell, Derek (Nicole) Wood, and Catelin Wood. Her sisters, Sandra Hartzell and Ginger Williams, will remember her as the guiding light of their family.
For many years, Pearl served as the kitchen manager at A+ Learning, where she touched the lives of those around her with her kindness and dedication. Her colleagues and the many children she encountered will fondly remember her warm smile and nurturing spirit. Pearl's involvement in her community extended beyond her professional role, as she was an active participant in local events and causes that were close to her heart.
Pearl's interests were a reflection of her vibrant and artistic soul. She loved to paint, expressing her view of the world through bold colors and imaginative scenes. Woodworking was another of her talents, creating pieces that were both functional and beautiful. Her love for art in all its forms was a joy she shared freely with her family and friends. The beach was her sanctuary, a place where she found peace and inspiration, often leaving with pockets full of seashells and a heart full of new ideas.
Those who knew Pearl would describe her as the embodiment of love and kindness. Her presence was a comfort, and her actions were driven by a deep compassion for others. Her laughter was infectious, her advice was sought after, and her hugs were a safe haven.
Pearl's life was a beautiful canvas, painted with the love of her family, the respect of her peers, and the countless lives she enriched. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
