Teresa Smith Obituary

Teresa Willene Smith, age 80, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Plant City, Florida. She was born on April 13, 1946, in Plant City, Florida, and spent her life rooted in the community she called home. Teresa will be remembered as a loving and friendly woman whose presence brought warmth, comfort, and joy to those around her.

Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Alto and Jewell Crosby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Smith Sr., with whom she shared nearly 50 devoted years of marriage. Their life together was built on love, commitment, and the many memories created through the years. Teresa carried the strength of her family history with grace and remained deeply connected to the people she loved throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Jody Beaulieu, Paula Johnson, Sondra Smith, and Jerry Smith Jr., who will forever cherish the love and guidance she gave them. Teresa also leaves behind her brother, David Crosby. She was preceded in death by her brothers Wayne Crosby and Kenneth Crosby. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her great pride and happiness.

Teresa lived a life filled with simple joys and meaningful traditions. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and found pleasure in the friendly competition and laughter it brought. She also loved crabbing, fishing, and scallop season, especially when those activities allowed her to spend time outdoors and enjoy the beauty of Florida life. Teresa adored Elvis Presley and held a special fondness for his music and memory. Above all, she loved her dogs infinitely, and her affection for them was a reflection of the tenderness and loyalty that defined her heart.

Teresa Willene Smith's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer physically present, the love she gave, the stories she shared, and the example she set will remain a lasting part of her family's lives. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.
