Tamela Leslie Obituary

Tamela Jean Leslie, known affectionately as Tammy to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on October 17, 1951, in Plant City, Florida, Tammy's zest for life and her loving nature touched everyone she met throughout her 73 years.

Tammy's journey began as the beloved daughter of her late parents, and she grew up surrounded by her cherished siblings, Lucy Farmer, Brenda Brown, Lucian Bone, Barbara Franques, and Patsy Rose. Her life was one of connection and devotion, beautifully illustrated by the close-knit family she nurtured and adored.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Leslie, and her two wonderful children, Tracy Fosnow and Dustin Jackson. Tammy's role as a grandmother to Sydney Grace Fosnow was one she embraced with all her heart, imparting wisdom and love in equal measure.

Tammy's professional life was marked by dedication and excellence. She retired from C.F. Industries / Mosaic after 47 years of service, where she was honored with the title of Executive Assistant. Her hard work, reliability, and sharp intellect made her a respected figure in her field.

Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength. Tammy lived her beliefs through acts of kindness, an open heart, and an unwavering commitment to her spiritual community.

An adventurous soul, Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her happy place was her condo on the Homosassa River, where she reveled in the thrill of scalloping, which she likened to an "Easter egg hunt" under the sea. The springs were her sanctuary, a place where she could relax and bask in the beauty of nature.

Tammy will be remembered as a person who was always ready to "go," embracing new experiences with a smile. Her adventurous spirit and loving nature are the words that best describe her. She had the unique ability to make every moment count and to see the adventure in everyday life.

As we bid farewell to Tamela Jean Leslie, we carry forward the light of her spirit. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to embrace life's adventures. She will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Tammy's life will be celebrated and remembered in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her vibrant soul. Her story is one of a life well-lived, filled with love, family, faith, and the joy of discovery. May she rest in peace, knowing that her spirit continues to guide and uplift us.
