Susan Sams Obituary

Susan Jane Sams, born May 4, 1949, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away on April 20, 2026, in Plant City, Florida, leaving behind a life marked by devotion, hard work, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late James Sams and V. Louise Lawman, and she carried the values of strength, perseverance, and kindness throughout her life. Susan was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Titus, whom she loved dearly and remembered always. She is survived by her daughter, Katherin Keowen, her brother, James Sams, her seven grandchildren, and her nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy and pride to her life.

Susan built a respected career as a regional manager for Circle K, where she was known for her dedication, leadership, and steady work ethic. Through her years in the workforce, she earned the respect of colleagues and those who worked alongside her. She approached her responsibilities with determination and professionalism, and she took pride in doing her job well. Her commitment to her work reflected the dependable and caring nature that defined so much of who she was.

Outside of her career, Susan found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved crossword puzzles and computer games, and she enjoyed the challenge and quiet satisfaction they brought her. In her younger years, she also enjoyed fishing, a pastime that gave her time to relax and appreciate the outdoors. These interests were part of the many ways she found comfort, enjoyment, and peace in everyday life.

Susan will be remembered as a woman who valued family, worked hard, and faced life with quiet strength. She had a presence that could bring reassurance and warmth to those around her, and her memory will remain a source of comfort to the many people who knew and loved her. Her family will remember her not only for the roles she held, but also for the love she gave, the lessons she shared, and the lasting example she set through her life.

Those who knew Susan will remember her as someone who carried herself with dignity and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, and all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. Though she is no longer with them in body, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
