Her final days were spent surrounded by the love and care of her family in Plant City, FL.

Sheila is the daughter Garnet Ball Reed and grew up with her brothers Bobby Ball, who has since passed, and Wayne Ball, who remains to cherish her memory along with her sister Teresa Rose Griffin. Sheila's life was further enriched by the love of her late husband, Jerome Smith, with whom she shared many years of joy and companionship.

In her professional life, Sheila was a dedicated property manager in the real estate sector, where she earned respect and admiration for her integrity and work ethic. She was known for her ability to connect with people and her innate ability to make everyone she worked with feel valued and appreciated.

Family was the cornerstone of Sheila's world. She leaves behind her loving children, Monte Ray Strickland II and his wife Donna, and Christie Michelle Long with her husband Mark. Sheila's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Chelsey (Jeremy) Brown and Cheyenne (Joe) Martin, and her four adored great-grandchildren. Those who knew Sheila would describe her as the epitome of loving, friendly, and kind. Her presence was a comforting embrace to the soul, and her absence will be deeply felt by all.
