Sara Jo Reynolds

Sara Jo Reynolds, 84, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on July 8, 2026. She was born on July 2, 1942, in Savannah, Georgia, to Bennett and Dessie Gilmore. Sara Jo lived a life marked by faith, family, and a warm appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

Jo was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Phillip Reynolds, who preceded her in death in 2005. Together, they shared a life built on love, faith, and companionship. Although they did not have children together, their home was filled with love. She cherished her family deeply and took great pride in the people she loved.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Loftis and her husband, David, and Julie Ham and her husband, Todd. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Chip Reynolds and his wife, Kathryn, and Jeremy Reynolds, who is deceased. Jo was a loving grandmother to Justin Ham and his wife, Racheal, and Jamie Hall and her husband, Tres. She also leaves behind her step-grandchildren, Christian Reynolds and Olivia Reynolds, as well as five great-grandchildren, Abby, Ellie, Wes, Aislyn, and Watson. She is also survived by her sister Susan Yowell and her husband Ron. Her family was one of her greatest joys, and she treasured every gathering, visit, and shared memory.

Jo was an active member of Victory Assembly in Lakeland, where her faith remained an important part of her life. She found strength and comfort in her church community and lived out her beliefs through kindness, loyalty, and devotion to others. Her spiritual life was a guiding force throughout her years, and she carried herself with the quiet dignity of someone who trusted in God's care.

She was also a proud member of The National Society United States Daughters of 1812,The Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Jo valued history, heritage, and the connections that tied her to generations before her. She had a natural curiosity and enjoyed collecting everything, always finding interest in items that others might overlook. She especially loved a good deal and took delight in discovering something special at just the right price.

Those who knew Jo will remember her as a woman with a generous heart, a strong sense of family, and a steady presence in the lives of those around her. She was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories, or enjoying the satisfaction of a treasured find. Her life was a reflection of devotion, perseverance, and affection for the people and traditions that mattered most to her.

Sara Jo Reynolds will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will continue to honor her life by remembering her faith, her love of family, and the many ways she made life brighter for those around her.

The family will have a celebration of life on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM at Victory Church 1401 Griffin Rd Lakeland Florida 33810.
