Roy Wayne Lee, a cherished patriarch, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024, in Temple Terrace, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on July 1, 1944, in Coffee County, Alabama. He was the son of the late Huey B. and Onvie L. Lee. Roy's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, generosity, and selflessness. Roy was predeceased by his beloved wife, Myrtle Lee, and his sister, Minnie Wagner. His legacy continues through his devoted children, Brenda (Gerry) Sheffield, Tammy (Greg) Calhoun, and Sherry Carberg, as well as his dear siblings, Jewell Grace and Betsy Ann Franklin. Roy's joy was multiplied by his adoring grandchildren, Garry Sheffield, Korina (Dustin) Coleman, Kayleene (Logan) Conner, Kaleb Connell, Breanna (Aaron) Payne, and Gil (Abigail) Carberg. The sparkle in his eye shone brightest when he was with his great-grandchildren, Kirra, Kinzie, Keith, and Kolton Coleman; Brodie, Raelynn, and HallieJo Conner; Maverick and Axel Carberg; and Lily Payne. His niece, Amy (Kyle) Horrocks, great-niece Addison Horrocks, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews will fondly remember his warmth and guidance. Roy's professional life was marked by dedication and expertise as a pneumatic technician at Craft Equipment, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike for his skill and work ethic. His passion for his work was paralleled only by his love for playing the guitar, a talent that brought joy to many gatherings and quiet moments alike. An enthusiast of antique cars, Roy could often be found tinkering under the hood of a classic vehicle, sharing stories of the road, and the history behind each model. His hands were rarely still, as he was always creating, fixing, or improving something, a trait that endeared him to all who knew him. Roy's life was a living example of the words that best described him: loving, generous, and selfless. He gave freely of his time and resources, always thinking of others before himself. His presence was a comfort, his laughter contagious, and his ability to love unconditionally was the cornerstone of his family. As we say goodbye to Roy Wayne Lee, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by kindness, and a man who was the heart of his family. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Roy's family will hold a private ceremony to honor his life and memory. They wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for the support and love shown during this time. Roy's story does not end with his passing but lives on in the lives of those he touched. He was a beacon of light and love, and his legacy will endure through the generations.
