Rosa Rodriguez Obituary

Rosa Maria Rodriguez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, passed away on April 1, 2024, in Plant City, Florida. Born on March 23, 1938, in the picturesque town of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Rosa's vibrant spirit and infectious passion for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Rosa's journey began as one of many siblings, where she learned the values of family and joy in the simplest of pleasures. She was a sister to Etervino (Teodosia Rivera) Rodriguez, Jose (Delfina Santiago) Rodriguez, and predeceased by Evaristo, Ernesto, Roberto, Lydia Belardo, Maria, Fabiana Alicea, Juanita, Dionisio, Marcelina, and Felicita Rodriguez. Rosa's legacy continued through her loving marriage to the late Agapito Zayas, with whom she shared a life full of laughter and cherished moments.

Together, Rosa and Agapito raised a family that was the truest testament to their love. She was a devoted mother to Gladys (Johnny Rivera) Zayas, Angel (Elba) Zayas, Nereida Zayas, Teresa Zayas, Ana E. (Angel Colon) Zayas, Felix (Maritza Del Valle) Zayas, Maritza (Radames Batista) Zayas, Beatriz (Kevan Budrow) Zayas, and Reinaldo Zayas. Her nurturing heart extended to her 24 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored with every fiber of her being.

Rosa's passion for life was evident in her love for the beach and the outdoors. She found solace in the sound of the waves, the chirping of birds, and the tranquility of fishing. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, always with a song in her heart and a readiness to experience new cultures and landscapes. Music was Rosa's companion, and she shared her joy through her beautiful singing voice, which could often be heard at family gatherings and quiet evenings at home.

As we bid farewell to Rosa Maria Rodriguez, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. We cherish the memories, the lessons, and the love she shared with us. Her spirit will continue to guide us, remind us to live with passion, to cherish our loved ones, and to embrace the beauty of the world around us. Rest in peace, dear Rosa, until we meet again.

Rosa's life was a melody of joy and love, a song that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched. We take comfort in knowing that her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she enriched. Rosa Maria Rodriguez, your life was a masterpiece, and you will be dearly missed.
