Robert "Bobby" Wayne Schauer, known affectionately as Bobby to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Born on August 26, 1977, in Tampa, Florida, Bobby's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and friendship.
Bobby was predeceased by his beloved stepdad, Ray Martel, who played a significant role in his life. He is survived by his devoted mother, Robin Martel, who cherished every moment with her son and his Godparents; Mike and Vicky Taylor. Bobby's loving wife, Carisa Jackson, whom he fondly called his princess, will forever hold their memories close to her heart. His children, Randi (Timmy) Schauer, Gracie (Josh) Schauer, Kaiden (Morgan) Courson, and Kyle Courson, will continue to be inspired by their father's unwavering love and support. His siblings, Tiffany Hourser and Shawn Hourser, will miss his constant presence and guidance. Bobby's joy was multiplied with the birth of his granddaughter, Milah Gent, who brought immense happiness to his later years. Bobby is also survived and loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Professionally, Bobby was a respected field manager at Jenergy Air Services, where his leadership and dedication were evident in his work. His colleagues will remember him not only for his professional acumen but also for his ability to make everyone feel like a friend.
Bobby was an active member of Dreams United Church, where his faith and commitment to his community were on full display. He had a passion for cooking, a hobby that allowed him to express his love for others through the meals he prepared. The beach was his sanctuary, a place where he found peace and relaxation. Above all, Bobby cherished his family, and his love for them was the cornerstone of his life.
Known for his loving nature, Bobby never met a stranger. His kindness and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in the community. Formerly of Dover, he carried with him the small-town values that shaped his character.
One of Bobby's favorite quotes, attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, reflects the way he lived his life: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to leave the world a better place... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Bobby indeed succeeded in all these ways, touching the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.
Bobby's legacy is one of love and friendship, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His spirit, characterized by his loving, kind, and friendly nature, will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
