The son of the late Harold Wesley Rounds and Billie Ruth Craft, Wesley was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shari Rounds. His legacy continues through his devoted wife, Daphne Rounds, his children, Simon Rounds, Joy Merrin, Joe (Diana) Merrin, and Jason Merrin Jr., and his sister, Terry (Marshall) Browning. His three grandchildren will forever cherish the memories and lessons he imparted, also survived by his dog, Jethro that he loved.
Wesley's commitment to his community was evident through his distinguished career as the City of Plant City Fire Chief, where he served with honor and distinction for twenty-five years. His dedication to safety and service extended to his work with the Florida Strawberry Festival, where he managed security operations for twenty-five years. His passion for helping others shone brightly through his forty-five years as an Associate Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church.
A former Master Mason with the Olive S. Wright Masonic Lodge, Wesley's contributions to his fraternity were marked by the same warmth and generosity that he extended to all aspects of his life. In his younger years, he expressed his love for music by playing bass guitar and singing with a Christian quartet, sharing his faith through melody and harmony.
Wesley's love for the outdoors was most evident in his fondness for fishing, a pastime that brought him great joy and tranquility. Those who accompanied him on these serene excursions will remember the laughter, stories, and moments of reflection shared by the water's edge.

His presence was a comfort, his words a source of wisdom, and his actions a reflection of the divine love he held so dear.
