Richard Leon Fox, affectionately known as "RIP" to his friends and family, passed away on February 15, 2026, in the tranquil town of Plant City, Florida. Born on December 8, 1930, in Youngstown, Ohio, Richard's journey through life was marked by a boundless spirit of adventure and a deep, unwavering faith.
Richard's life was one of service and dedication. After honorably returning from the Coast Guard as an E-7, he carried the discipline and camaraderie of military life into his community engagements and personal endeavors. Richard was a man of many interests, finding joy in the serenity of hunting, the fulfillment of being a great servant at his church, the excitement of travel, and the simple pleasure of lifting his voice in song among his church congregation.
He was a faith-filled man who walked through life with kindness in his steps and a readiness for adventure in his heart. Richard's love for his family was a testament to his character, and he was a beacon of strength and love for them all.
Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathryn Fox, and his cherished child, Jeff Macuch. He was a patriarch survived by a large and loving family, including his children Gary (Randi) Fox, Anne Marie Cirelli, Darlene (Bob) Franklin, Judy Christianson, and Linda Sherman (Jim). His legacy continues through his twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom carry a piece of his spirit and values.
In every role he undertook, from a devoted husband and father to a proud veteran and church member, Richard's life was a reflection of his core values. He imparted lessons of courage, generosity, and faith that will live on in the hearts and actions of his family. His life was a tapestry woven with the love he gave freely and the good works he performed, leaving an indelible mark on the many lives he touched.
Richard's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will be cherished and celebrated. We honor a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a song well-sung. Richard Leon Fox's story does not end with his passing, for his influence will continue to resonate through generations, echoing the love and light he shared with the world.
As we bid farewell to a beloved man, we find comfort in the memories we hold dear, the values he instilled in us, and the knowledge that his spirit will forever guide us. Richard's life was a beautiful reflection of the things he held dear, and his memory will continue to inspire us all. May we carry forward the legacy of Richard Leon Fox with the same grace and dignity with which he lived his remarkable life.
