Ralph Keown Obituary

Ralph Kyler Keown, affectionately known as Kyle to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, in Plant City, Florida. Born on April 30, 1957, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, to Ben and Anna Marlene Keown, Kyle's zest for life and generous spirit touched everyone he met throughout his 67 years.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Ben and sister Kelly Smith. His memory will live on through those he leaves behind, including his beloved mother, Marlene, and step father, Jim Webber, and his siblings, Deborah (Jim) Melton, Stacy McPherson and Darbin 'Bubba' Brown and his wife, Laura, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

As a father, Kyle was nothing short of extraordinary. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Crystal Brown and her husband Steve Gallimore, and Cassidy (Harold) Holcomb. Kyle's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Serenity and Colton Brown, Kacie Rummel, Brett (Briana) Holcomb, Tyler (Kryssa) Holcomb, and Austin (Amber) Holcomb, and his adored great-grandchildren, Brinlee, Rylan, Josiah, Braxton, and Braylee Holcomb. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit and his love for life's simple pleasures.

Professionally, Kyle was a dedicated truck driver who relished the freedom of the open road. His career allowed him to travel and experience the vast beauty of the country he loved so dearly.

Kyle's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was a man who could never sit still, always finding joy in the next project or adventure. His Harley Davidson was more than a motorcycle; it was his companion on countless journeys and a symbol of his free spirit. Kyle had a magical touch with anything mechanical, transforming the forgotten into the treasured. His hands were rarely clean, always tinkering, fixing, and creating.

A true outdoorsman, Kyle loved nothing more than being surrounded by nature. Camping, boating, tubing, and mudding were not just hobbies but a way of life. His competitive spirit shone through in friendly games of tug o' war, and his laughter was the soundtrack to many family gatherings.

Kyle's generosity knew no bounds. He was the kind of man who would give his last dime to help someone in need. His outgoing nature meant he never met a stranger, and his kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

Kyle was creative and kind. His doodles and drawings were the marks of a man who saw the world through a unique lens. His artwork, sketched in pencil, was a testament to his ability to find beauty in the everyday.

Kyle was generous, creative, kind, and honest. His life was a testament to living fully, loving deeply, and leaving the world a better place than he found it.

Kyle will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, his stories, and his unwavering spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Though he has left this earthly journey, his memory and the impact of his generous heart will remain forever.
