Pedro Guzman

Pedro Guzman, a cherished family man and respected member of his community, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, in Plant City, Florida, at the age of 84. Born on May 12, 1940, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Pedro's journey through life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and friendly demeanor.

Pedro was predeceased by his beloved wife, Miriam Guzman, who was his partner in life and love. His legacy continues through his children, Jose Gonzalez Jr., Marie Ann "MaryAnn" Rivera, Becky (Eddie) Alba, Dolly Gonzalez, and Ricky Gonzalez. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his spirit of joy and family unity.

A long-time member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista La Fe, Pedro's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was known for his incredible skills as a handyman, a trade through which he touched the lives of many in his community. His work was not just a means of livelihood but a way to connect with and serve others.

Pedro's interests were a reflection of his sociable and engaging personality. He cherished time spent with his family above all else and found joy in simple pleasures like playing cards, shooting pool, and challenging friends and family to spirited games of dominoes. These activities were more than hobbies; they were avenues through which he formed lasting bonds and created countless happy memories.

Those who knew Pedro will remember him as the embodiment of love, kindness, and friendliness. His warm smile and generous heart made him a beloved figure in his community and an anchor in his family. Pedro's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to Pedro Guzman, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and his memory will be cherished forever. Pedro's journey on earth has concluded, but the impact of his love and the echoes of his laughter will resonate for generations to come.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
A funeral service will follow Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Premera Iglesia Bautista La Fe in Plant City, FL. Burial will follow at Garden of Peace Cemetery in Plant City.
