Paul Robert Causey

Paul Robert "Bob" Causey, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 16, 2024, in Lakeland, FL, at the age of 74. Born on January 22, 1950, in Plant City, FL, Bob's life was a testament to his friendly and faith-filled spirit.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Causey, his devoted children, Amy Bhavsar (Chirag), Erik Causey (Mel), and Robby Causey (Sarah), as well as his six adoring grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bruce Causey (Deb) and Keith Causey (Velma), who shared in his journey through life.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Paul B. Causey and Freda Booth. His career as a Credit Manager at McGuiness Lumber was marked by dedication and excellence. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Plant City, a previous member of the Plant City Optimist Club, and a member of the National Association of Credit Managers.

An avid Gator football fan, Bob's enthusiasm for the game was contagious. He had a passion for reading, a talent for cooking, and an everlasting love for the beach. Bob's presence was a blessing to all who knew him.

As George Sand once said, ''There is only one happiness in this life: to love and be loved.'' Bob's legacy of love, faith, and friendship will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM.
