Patricia Marie Markham

Patricia Marie Markham, age 48, of Plant City, FL passed away on July 13, 2021.
She was the daughter of Richard Stassen Jr., and Sandra Voss, of Thonotosassa FL., her mother still survives.

Tricia is also survived by her devoted husband; Brian Markham, her only child; Lacey Healy of Plant City FL. She is also survived by two step-sons she helped raise; Curtis Markham of Pagosa Springs, CO and Davis Markham of Denver, CO, and brother; Dick Stassen of Port St. Lucie, FL.

Tricia spent her childhood in Minnesota, her younger years in Massachusetts, and her most recent years in sunny Florida. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and Rehabilitation Services from Assumption College graduating with honors and membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda. While in MA, she worked as an advocate for women in domestic violence shelters and as a CASA court appointed child advocate. After moving to FL she opened and grew a successful criminal background business, QCRIM, which continues to operate to this day.

She loved her family. She loved the sun. She loved to travel. She most especially loved to travel to sunny places. She was an avid cruiser and had visited most of the Caribbean. She loved to read and study. She had a passion for studying the Virgin Mary and enjoyed travel to Israel to immerse herself in the subject.

She had a huge heart for animals. Over the years she took in (collected) countless dogs and cats in need. She enjoyed collecting artwork, her favorites being Peter Nixon, David Najar, and Itschak Tarkay. She loved playing board and card games with the family. She was unbeatable at the card game Grump.

She loved designing, and redesigning, every space in her home. Though she wasn't big on cooking, the dishes she did make (Corn Hot Dish, Hamburger Gravy, and homemade guacamole) were huge hits with her family.

She was a motherly influence on many of her kid's friends, keeping positive connections with them as they have grown into adulthood.

She has passed far too young and will be dearly missed. But her influence on all that have known her will be everlasting.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at the family estate on August 8 at 1 PM.
