Norma Luz Diaz, a loving mother, devoted wife, and spirited friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Tampa, Florida on October 23, 2023. Born on August 26, 1926, in the vibrant town of Cayey, Puerto Rico, Norma's zest for life was evident from her earliest days.
Norma was the beloved wife of Efrain Diaz, and the cherished mother of Sandra and her husband Luis, Efrain Jr, and Edwin and his wife Lillian. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, and a caring sister to Esther, Bertha, Edmee, and Yuly. Her family was the center of her universe, and her love for them was boundless.
She completed her education through middle school, demonstrating a keen intellect and a passion for learning. Norma's dedication to her work as a switchboard operator for Fort Buchanan was highly esteemed. Her colleagues admired her for her strong work ethic and her ability to handle all situations with grace and professionalism.
Norma had a vivacious spirit and an infectious love for games. She was known to host spirited rounds of poker, bingo, and Parcheesi, and her laughter was contagious. Her wisdom was a guiding light for her family and friends, and her loving nature made her a cherished member of her community.

The family will receive friends Saturday November 4, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Haught Funeral Home 708 W Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Plant City FL 33563. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM.
