Obituary

Nita Clare Bass, 91, of Lake Wales passed away November 11, 2022.

Born in Plant City, Florida, she was the daughter of the late John and Ida Carlson.

Also preceding Nita in death were husband of 58 years, Cecil "Gene" Bass; children, Cheryl Tucker, Debra Goodman; sisters, Edna Raulerson, Shirley Billstone, and one grandson, Dallas Gatchell.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Brewer-Fox, Joan Stephas, Wanda Banfield (Paul); sisters, Muriel Danley, Mary Whitehead, Martha Rogers; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren.

Nita was a member of Mt Enon Primitive Baptist Church. She ran a home daycare for over 20 years in Plant City. Nita loved to fish, travel, play bingo, and had two full albums of photos with autographs from county singers she had met.

The family will receive friends from 2-3pm, Saturday, November 19, 2022, Mt Enon Primitive Baptist Church, North Frontage Road, Plant City with services to follow at 3pm.
