Nancy Perkins, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on August 19, 1939, in Plant City, Florida, Nancy lived a life defined by kindness, faith, and a deep love for her family.
The cherished wife of the late Jimmy Eugene Perkins, Nancy's love and legacy live on through her children, Steve Perkins and Jason (Candy) Perkins. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Shannon, Desirae (Kyle), Janice (Chad), and Regan Perkins, and a loving great-grandmother to Nyne, Gavin, Nat, Chloe, and Wyatt.
Nancy was the last leaf on her branch of the family tree, preceded in death by her siblings Elwood Mobley, Tootsie Kirkland, Henry Mobley, and Peggy Copeland. While she was the last of her generation, the family she loved so deeply continues to grow through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A lifelong member of the Plant City Church of Christ, Nancy's faith was the foundation of her life and a guiding force through the years.
Nancy enjoyed an active life and loved traveling and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed skiing, golfing, playing tennis, camping, and taking trips to the beach. Many of her favorite memories were made during these adventures with family and friends.
Those who knew Nancy remember her as a loving and steady presence. Her warmth, wisdom, and devotion to her family touched many lives.
Nancy Perkins lived a full life grounded in faith, family, and love. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 10:00 AM- 11:00AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00AM.
