Murel Lee Tindle Jones, a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the age of 88 in Brandon, Florida. Born on March 7, 1936, in Thonotosassa, Florida, Murel's life was a testament to her wisdom and the love she held for her family and community.
Predeceased by her parents, Lonnie Tindle and Mildred Parker, her brother, Rodney Tindle, and her children, Greg Long, Kevin (Lisa) Jones, and Robbie Jones, Murel's legacy continues through her beloved husband, Billie Jones, and her children, Patty (Don) Stancil, Billy (Jeanette) Long, Ray (Judy) Long, Kenny Long, and Virginia (David) Rodriguez. Her sisters, Nannie Mercer and Linda Lingerfelter, also survive her. Murel was a cherished matriarch whose memory will be honored by her twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored deeply.
Murel's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the owner of BMJ Trucking, where she demonstrated her remarkable work ethic and leadership. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, as she was a dedicated member of the Plant City Church of God. Murel also attended the 1st Assembly of God in Tampa, where she played a pivotal role in the women's ministry and shared her wisdom as a Sunday school teacher. Her involvement in these communities was not just a duty but a joy that fulfilled her.
Family was the cornerstone of Murel's life. She cherished organizing and hosting family get-togethers, creating moments that would turn into cherished memories for all who attended. Her love for her family was evident in every hug, every piece of advice, and every event she meticulously planned. Murel's passion for life extended to her love of sports, and she found joy in the sermons and music of Jimmy Swaggart, which uplifted her spirit and reinforced her faith.
Those who knew Murel would describe her as the epitome of kindness. She approached life with a selfless demeanor, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her wisdom was sought after by many, as she had a way of providing guidance that was both insightful and comforting. Murel's presence was a source of stability and love, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Murel Lee Tindle Jones lived a life that was rich in love and service to others. Her impact on her family, friends, and community will continue to be felt for generations to come. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy of kindness, selflessness, and wisdom will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Plant City Church of God, 2103 Mud Lake Rd Plant City, FL 33566.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant City, FL.
