Mildred Griffin, a beacon of wisdom and love, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024, in Venice, Florida, at the age of 96. Born on August 12, 1927, in Douglas, Georgia, she was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and a friend who enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Mildred's early years in Douglas laid the foundation for a life characterized by gentle strength and unwavering love. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Everett Griffin, her father Johnny Mancil, her mother Rebecca Douglas, and three of her siblings. Her legacy continues through her children, Marvin Williams and his wife Linda, Bob Williams and his wife Debby, Bruce Williams and his wife Terrie, Mike Griffin and his wife Laurie, and her brother Jack Mancil. Her memory will also be cherished by her eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mildred's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." As we remember Mildred, her wisdom, gentleness, and loving spirit were her gifts to the world, and they will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Mildred Griffin's light will continue to guide us, just as the stars guide the path in the night sky.
