Michael Blair

Michael Blair, born on August 17, 1947, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, passed away on July 25, 2026, in Plant City, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and friendship that will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was the son of the late Harold M. Blair and Freada, and he was also preceded in death by his sister, Connie Blair. Michael carried the values of family and loyalty throughout his life, and those who loved him will remember the steady presence he brought to every relationship. He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Melba Blair, as well as his siblings, Peter Poto and Patrice Poto, who will continue to cherish his memory and the many moments they shared together.

Michael built a life marked by hard work, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose. As the owner of Action-Sales, he devoted himself to his work with determination and pride. He was respected for his business sense and for the genuine way he treated others, always approaching people with warmth and sincerity. His professional life reflected the same dependable character that guided him in all areas of life.

He was also deeply involved in his community and valued the fellowship found through service and association. Michael was a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge, organizations that reflected his commitment to brotherhood, tradition, and service. Through these affiliations, he formed lasting friendships and shared in the spirit of connection and support that meant so much to him.

Michael had a lifelong love of NASCAR and found great enjoyment in the excitement and energy of racing. His interest in the sport went beyond being a fan, as he also served as a race official with U.S.A.R. Hooters Cup. This role allowed him to be part of the racing world he admired so much, and he took pride in contributing to the sport in a meaningful way. His enthusiasm for racing was one of the many things that made him memorable to those around him.

Those who knew Michael will remember him as loving and friendly, a man whose presence could brighten a room and whose kindness left a lasting impression. He had a way of making others feel welcome and valued, and his genuine nature earned him the respect and affection of family, friends, and acquaintances alike. Friends and family will be received on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.
