Mavis M Cleveland

Mavis M. Cleveland, age 96, of Plant City, Florida died on May 21, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Margaret Stringfellow McColskey. She was preceded in death by her husband TEC5 Calvin J. Moon, their daughter Marylyn Moon Pitts, and her second husband John C. Cleveland as well as siblings Wyona Douglas, Robert McColskey, Willie Mae Adams, and Naomi McColskey. She is survived by her granddaughter Jacki Jonas (Kimball), her grandson Jason R. Pitts, her great-grandson Ilya Jonas, her son-in-law Jack Pitts, brother L.H. McColskey (Barbara), and many nieces and nephews.

Mavis was church secretary at First Baptist Church of Mango for a number of years and was a member at Shiloh Baptist Church. She will also be remembered fondly by the many children she taught in Sunday School at Mango, Six Mile Creek, and Shiloh Baptist Churches over the years.

She was a Gold Star wife. Visitation will be Monday May 25, 2020 from 10:00am-11:00am at Haught Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11:00am and will be streamed live on Haught Funeral Homes website and Facebook page.
