Mary Jane (Hodges) Padgett

Mary Jane Padgett, age 82, of Plant City, FL passed away on June 3, 2021. A native of Plant City, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur and Clifton Virginia Ralston Hodges. Survivors include her beloved husband: Billy Padgett, children: Herb (Heather) Padgett, Polly Vance, sisters: Sue (Winfred) Harrell, and Anne (Art) Frederickson, and three grandchildren: Benji, Jackson and Jake. Mary Jane was a graduate of Florida State University, where she was a member of the F Club Athletic Hall of Fame. She was a member of the Graceway Church formerly Springhead Baptist Church where she was the church organist, children's choir director, librarian, church secretary and Sunday school teacher. Mary Jane was a Girl Scout Troop leader for over 50 years and made wedding cakes and was a wedding coordinator. She worked for Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation as a Park Superintendent at Springhead Park. The family will receive friends Monday, June 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Graceway Church, 3106 Wiggins Rd, Plant City, FL 33566.
