Marjorie E. Jenkins, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, in Plant City, Florida, at the age of 95. Born on September 23, 1929, in Rafferty, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late James Franklin Kelley and Dosha Marie Snyder. Marjorie's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the deep love she held for her family and community.
Marjorie's journey through life was shared for 72 beautiful years with her beloved husband, Ray Jenkins, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2021. Together, they built a legacy of love and commitment that continues to live on through their family.
She leaves behind a family who revered her as the matriarch and guiding light. Her children, Laird Jenkins and his wife Dotty, Bradford Jenkins and his wife Robin, Cynthia Sealock and her husband John, and Douglas Jenkins and his wife Leslie, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Marjorie's legacy also includes fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were the recipients of her boundless love and affection. Marjorie was preceded in death by her adored grandson, Chris Jenkins.
Marjorie's professional life was marked by 20 years of dedicated service at SunTrust, where she was not only a respected employee but also a friend to many. Her leadership skills shone brightly as she served as the president of the East Ohio Conference for Methodist Women, where she inspired others with her passion for service and her unwavering faith.
Her commitment to her community was evident in her tireless volunteer work, particularly at her church, where she devoted countless hours to nurturing the children in her care. Marjorie's selfless nature and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others were hallmarks of her character.
Those who knew Marjorie would describe her as the epitome of loving and kind. Her warm smile, gentle touch, and compassionate words were a comfort to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
