Marion George Hayes, known affectionately as George to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, in Plant City, Florida. Born on November 27, 1953, in Logan, West Virginia, George was a man whose life was marked by devotion to his family, his faith, and his community.

George was the cherished son of the late William A. Hayes and Ruth Vance. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Hayes. George's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Lorie Hayes, and their children: Dale (Melissa) Hayes, Jerrod (Elicia) Hayes, George (Leanne) Hayes, and William Hayes. His brother, Larry Hayes, also survives him, along with six adoring grandchildren who will miss their grandfather's warmth and guidance.

Throughout his life, George was a pillar of strength and kindness. He was a dedicated member of Hope Lutheran Church, where he not only worshipped but also led by example through his service. For over two decades, George was a committed Boy Scout leader, shaping the lives of young men with his wisdom and patience. His leadership extended to his role with the Missions and Outreach Team at Hope Lutheran Church, where he worked tirelessly to spread love and aid to those in need.

George's character was the embodiment of love and kindness. His gentle spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a man who listened more than he spoke, and when he did speak, his words were filled with encouragement and compassion.

In every aspect of his life, George was a beacon of hope and a source of comfort. His unwavering faith and commitment to service were an inspiration to all who knew him. George's life was a testament to the power of living with purpose and passion for helping others.
