Margaret Louise Turner, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in Plant City, Florida. Born on October 8, 1927, in Albany, Georgia, Margaret's life was a testament to the strength and grace she carried through her 97 years.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved parents, Henry Carlton Holt and Lula Williams Holt, her devoted husband, James "Jack" Calvin Turner Sr., her sister, Pearl Combast, and her brothers, Harvey, Buford, and Richard Holt. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Turner, and great-grandson, Gregory Golden III. Her legacy continues through her loving children, Phyllis (Greg) Golden, Calvin (Glenna) Turner, and David Turner. Margaret's joy was multiplied by her nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
Margaret's professional life was marked by her dedication and hard work, culminating in her retirement as Vice President of SunTrust Bank in 1991. Her commitment to her career was paralleled by her involvement in her community, where she was an active member of Bethany, Eastside, and Westside Baptist Churches. In her later years, she attended Shiloh Baptist Church, where she continued to share her faith and wisdom with those around her.
Margaret's interests were a reflection of her loving nature. She found great pleasure in reading, which allowed her to explore worlds beyond her own and share stories with her family. A collector at heart, Margaret cherished and enjoyed displaying family photos, each one capturing a precious moment in time, a testament to the life she so lovingly nurtured.
Those who knew Margaret would describe her as loving, kind, and generous. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued, a gift that made her an unforgettable presence in the lives of many. Her warmth and generosity extended beyond her family, touching the hearts of friends and community members alike.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
