Mack Pullen Obituary

Mack B. Pullen, who was born on April 4, 1935, in Tarrytown, Georgia, and passed away on July 29, 2026, in Plant City, Florida, lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a gentle spirit that touched those who knew him.

He was the son of the late Silas Pullen and Euldine Coleman. Mack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Pullen, and by his siblings Shelba Davis, Charles Pullen, Harriet Platt, Betty Parker, and Gary Pullen. He is survived by his siblings Elizabeth Hofhenke and Silas L. Pullen, and his children, Ken Pullen and Keith Pullen who will carry forward his memory with love and gratitude.

Mack spent much of his working life as a dragline operator for Cargill Phosphate, where he was respected for his steady hands, strong work ethic, and dependable nature. He approached his work with quiet pride and a sense of responsibility that reflected the character he carried throughout his life. Those who worked alongside him knew him as a man who could be counted on, and his contributions were valued by all who had the privilege of knowing him professionally.

Outside of work, Mack found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to hunt and fish, and these pastimes gave him time to enjoy the outdoors and the peace it offered. Whether he was spending time in the field or by the water, he appreciated the patience, skill, and calm that these interests required. These moments were among the ones he treasured most, and they became part of the memories shared by those closest to him.

Mack will be remembered as a loving and kind man whose presence brought comfort and warmth to others. His life was one of quiet strength, steady devotion, and genuine care for the people around him. He did not seek attention or praise, but his actions spoke clearly of the values he held dear. His kindness was felt in the way he treated others, and his loving nature left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.

Though his passing leaves a deep sadness, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The lessons he taught through example, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely will remain a source of comfort and remembrance. Mack B. Pullen's life was a testament to the enduring value of family, hard work, and a kind heart, and he will be dearly missed.
