Mable Coleman Hewitt

Mable Coleman Hewitt, 91, passed away on May 5, 2023.

A native of Lakeland, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mabel Pollock Coleman. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Edward Hewitt.

Survivors include her children Eddy (Joni) Hewitt, Malinda (Ken) Pridgen; grandchildren Michelle Townley (Matt), Jim Hewitt (Liz), Melissa Parsons (Kevin), Brad McGriff (Leslie), Jason Hewitt (Ashley), and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Mable was a member of the Springhead Church of Christ. In her early years, she worked at the Polk County Courthouse. Once married, she devoted her entire life to her family - whom she loved immensely. She was an amazing cook, seamstress, and gardener. She also enjoyed birdwatching.

The family will receive friends Thursday May 11, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W Dr MLK Jr Blvd., Plant City, Fl 33563. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to Chapters Health Foundation in support of   LifePath Hospice, 12470 Telecom Dr. Suite 301, Temple Terrace, FL 33637.
