Lynn Sheffield Obituary

Lynn Sheffield, age 67, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on June 3, 2026. She was born on May 27, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, and lived a life marked by love, strength, faith, and devotion to her family.

Lynn was a loving woman whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her. She was known for her kind heart, her steady spirit, and the care she showed to everyone blessed to know her. Throughout her life, she worked hard and met each season with determination and grace. She spent many years as a single mother and gave tirelessly of herself to provide, nurture, and guide her family with strength and unconditional love.

Family was at the center of Lynn’s life. She cherished her children, James Sheffield and his wife Vicki, and Nate Mueller and his wife Rechelle. She was a devoted mother who took great pride in the lives they built and the families they created. Lynn also treasured her mother, Betty J. Dodd, and held close the memory of her father, James A. Dodd, who preceded her in death. She is also survived by her brother, Allen Dodd, who shared in many memories and family moments throughout the years.

Lynn found great joy in being a grandmother, and her grandchildren were among the greatest blessings of her life. She loved spending time with Ragen, Keeley, Kenzie, Joshua, Mason, and Averey, and she delighted in every opportunity to laugh, play, and make memories with them. She was also overjoyed by her great-grandchild, Aurora, who brought another precious light into her life. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild was deep and enduring, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

A woman of faith, Lynn was a member of Fowler Avenue Baptist Church. Her relationship with the Lord was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and strength in reading her Bible. Her faith guided her through both joyful and difficult times, and it remained a source of peace and hope. She was also known for enjoying simple pleasures that brought happiness to her days. She loved swimming, shopping, bowling, going to the races, and playing games on her tablet. These interests reflected her fun-loving spirit and her appreciation for time well spent.

Lynn especially loved family gatherings, where she could be surrounded by the people she loved most. She enjoyed the laughter, the conversations, and the feeling of togetherness that filled those occasions. Her family remembers her as someone who made others feel welcome, cared for, and valued. Her loving nature, her hard-working spirit, and her devotion to those around her will be remembered always.

Those who knew Lynn will remember her as a woman who gave her best to her family and lived her life with purpose. She was strong, faithful, and loving, and she leaves behind a legacy of devotion that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and all who were touched by her life. Though her passing leaves a deep void, her memory will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration to those who loved her.

Lynn Sheffield will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love by her family and friends. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and perseverance, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
