Loretta Totherow Obituary

Loretta Bronson Totherow, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the age of 82 in Plant City, Florida. Born on May 17, 1943, in Tampa, Florida, she was the cherished daughter of the late Cade Bronson and Josephine Hall. Loretta's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, a passion for her interests, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.

Loretta's journey through life was marked by the joyous sounds of song, the beauty of her gardens, and the intricate stitches of her sewing projects. Her love for these activities was only surpassed by the love she held for her family. Though predeceased by her beloved husband, Birt Totherow, and her dear children, Diane, Terry, and Chris Totherow, Loretta's legacy continues through her surviving children, Tina Peeples, Anthony (Shawda) Totherow, Kimberly Totherow, and Aaron Totherow. Her memory will also be treasured by her brothers, Duck, Ricky, and Sonny Bronson.

Loretta's life was further enriched by the laughter and love of her seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Each of them brought immense joy to her life, and she, in turn, instilled in them the values of love and kindness that she embodied so fully. Her siblings, Alice, Jack, Ralph, and Frank Bronson, who predeceased her, shared in the creation of countless cherished family memories that will continue to be honored by those who knew and loved Loretta.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Loretta will remember her as the epitome of loving and kind. She had a heart that knew no bounds and a gentle spirit that made everyone around her feel cherished and valued. Her warm smile and tender embrace were sources of comfort and strength to all.

As we bid farewell to Loretta, we celebrate a life lived with grace and compassion. Her song may have ended, but the melody lingers on in the hearts of those she touched. We take solace in knowing that her garden of love will continue to bloom in the lives of her family and friends, and the fabric of her being will remain woven into the lives of those she loved. Loretta's story is one of a life well-lived, a life filled with purpose, and a life that will continue to inspire for generations to come.
