Linda Hansen, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on March 4, 1944, in Opp, Alabama, Linda's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and enduring relationships. She was a beloved figure in her community and a devoted member of Victory Baptist Church, where she formed lasting bonds and contributed to numerous activities.
Preceded in death by her parents, Roy Carlisle and Lula; her husband, Hugh Hansen; and her brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, and Ronnie Carlisle. Linda's legacy is carried forward by her loving family. She leaves behind her sons, Tim Simmons and Harry Hansen (Teresa), Larry Hansen, and Terry Hansen who will forever hold dear the lessons of kindness and joy she instilled in them. Her ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren will continue to be inspired by her stories and the warmth of her presence.
Linda is also survived by her siblings, Horace Carlisle and Dorothy Carlisle, who shared in the laughter and love that Linda spread so effortlessly. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and the memories they created together will be treasured for generations to come.
Throughout her life, Linda's work ethic and commitment to her community were evident in all she did. Her involvement with Victory Baptist Church was not just a testament to her faith but also to her desire to connect with and support others. Linda's interests were a reflection of her appreciation for the simple joys in life. She had a fondness for raisins, a passion for nurturing plants, and an affinity for bird watching, activities that allowed her to savor the beauty of the world around her.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as loving, funny, and friendly. Her ability to light up a room with her humor and her talent for making friends wherever she went are qualities that will be sorely missed. Linda's life was a journey of love, laughter, and friendship, and her impact on those she met will not be forgotten.
As we bid farewell to Linda Hansen, we celebrate a life well-lived and a heart that gave so much. Her spirit will continue to guide and comfort us, just as the birds she so loved soar on the breeze, reminding us of the freedom and grace she embodied.
