Lazaro Torres Obituary

Born on December 17, 1958, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Lazaro's life journey led him to touch the hearts of many, leaving a legacy of love and dedication to his family and community.

Lazaro's vibrant spirit was matched only by his unwavering commitment to his beloved wife, Elvia Torres, with whom he shared a beautiful life since their marriage on December 11, 1993. He found pleasure in the simple things, like scouring for treasures at the Wednesday Plant City flea market or enjoying a cold Bud Light on a sunny afternoon. His love for his home country remained strong, and he cherished his visits back to Mexico, where he would reconnect with his roots and savor the familiar sights and sounds.

Even after retirement, Lazaro continued to work tirelessly, always seeking to support his local community. He was a man who found solace in the hum of the radio in the background and the companionship of his many animals, including goats, chickens, pigs, and dogs. A collector at heart, he took great pride in his coin collection, each piece telling a story of his adventures and the history he loved.

Lazaro was renowned for his hospitality. His home was a haven where no one left hungry, and everyone was greeted with a warm meal and an offer of a drink. His BBQs were legendary, a testament to his love for cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.

Described by those who knew him best as loving, adventurous, and wise, Lazaro's guidance and warmth were a source of comfort and inspiration. His stories, imbued with wisdom and humor, will be recounted for generations, each one a thread in the rich tapestry of his life.
