Lawrence "Larry" Spear, a cherished soul known for his friendly demeanor and love of life's simple pleasures, passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 73 in Brooksville, FL. Born on February 24, 1951, in Jacksonville, FL, Larry's journey was one marked by joy, companionship, and an unwavering spirit of kindness.
Larry was the beloved son of the late James Spear and the devoted Alma Spear, who survives him. His life was enriched by the love of his late wife, Sharon Spear, and continued to flourish with his dear girlfriend, Linda White. Larry's legacy is carried on through his children: Larry Lee Spear, Lori Bohannon, LaShonda Dadurian, LeAnn Spear, and Lane Spear (Anthony Klein), who will forever cherish his memory. His brothers, Tony, Michael, and Mark Spear, also survive him, sharing in the family's pride and love for Larry. His ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild brought him immeasurable joy and will miss their grandfather's warmth and guidance.
Larry's life was one of engagement and enjoyment. He had a passion for driving, which allowed him to explore and appreciate the world around him. A movie enthusiast, he found comfort and excitement in the stories told on the silver screen, often accompanied by his favorite snacks. His love for eating was not just about the food but the fellowship and conversation that came with every meal.
Larry's friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in his community. As Albert Einstein once said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile," and Larry truly embodied this sentiment through his kindness and generosity.
As we bid farewell to Larry, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the simple joys that make life worth living. Larry's journey on earth may have concluded, but the stories and memories he leaves behind will continue to be told with fondness and a smile. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
