Kevin Patrick Monroe Crews, known affectionately as Kevin to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, in Riverview, Florida. Born on March 23, 1968, in Quantico, Virginia, Kevin's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought into the world.
Kevin was the cherished son of Karen and Thomas Crews, and a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Kathleen Woll, and her husband, John. His presence as a pillar of strength and love in his family will be profoundly missed.
Throughout his life, Kevin dedicated himself to his work in maintenance with Metropolitan Ministries. His commitment to service and his ability to fix and improve anything he touched were hallmarks of his career. Kevin's colleagues will remember him not only for his skilled hands but also for his kind heart and infectious laughter.
Beyond his work, Kevin was a man of many passions. He found solace and joy in the embrace of the ocean waves, surfing with a grace that mirrored his approach to life. The roar of his Harley on a clear day was a sound that brought a smile to his face and freedom to his soul. Kevin's love for the outdoors extended to fishing and camping, where he found tranquility and connection with nature.
Those who knew Kevin would describe him as loving, kind, and funny. His humor and warmth could light up any room, and his laughter was a melody that will echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
As we remember Kevin, we are reminded of the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to leave the world a bit better... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Kevin lived by these words, leaving an indelible mark on the world and in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Kevin's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the gentle imprint of his kind spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were touched by his life.
Services will be held privately by his family.
