Kay C. Lloyd

Kay C. Lloyd, a woman of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, at the age of 87 in Plant City, Florida. Born on January 23, 1938, in Worthington, Minnesota, to Harry and Leona, Kay's early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of small-town life.

Kay's vibrancy and humor brought light to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and sassy quips were the hallmark of her personality, making every moment with her memorable and cherished. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Robert Lloyd Sr., who passed away in 2017, and together they shared a lifetime of happiness and devotion.

A devoted mother, Kay is survived by her children, Linda Shearin and her husband Rick, and Robert Lloyd Jr., who continues to carry her legacy of love and humor. Her daughter-in-law Laurie Lloyd preceded her in passing. Kay was the proud matriarch of a family that includes her grandchildren, Kevin Lloyd and his wife Gina, Jessica Pippin and her husband Charlie, and Timothy Lloyd and his wife Shari. Her great-grandchildren, Adalynn Lloyd, Sawyer Pippin, and Skylar Pippin, brought her immeasurable joy and contentment.

Kay's sister, Jean Moore of Minnesota, will remember her sister's spirit and laughter, and she joins the family in celebrating Kay's life. Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Hinton, whose memories remain a treasured part of the family's history.

A faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida, Kay's commitment to her faith was evident in her kindness and the thoughtful ways she touched the lives of others. Her quilting was not only a hobby but a way of weaving her love into tangible keepsakes that will be cherished by her family and friends for generations.

Kay's zest for life extended to her love of shopping, where she delighted in finding the perfect gifts for her loved ones, a testament to her thoughtful nature. Her best friend of over 60 years, Dian Hoard, will miss their best friend dates to lunch, where they shared countless hours of conversation and companionship.

Kay C. Lloyd lived a life marked by love, laughter, and thoughtfulness. Her legacy is one of joy, family, and the countless lives she touched with her generous spirit. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will be a guiding light, inspiring us to live with the same warmth and vivacity she embodied every day.
