Katherine Teal Obituary

Katherine Elizabeth Teal, known affectionately as Kathy to her friends and family, passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 66, in Dover, Florida. Born on December 23, 1958, in Tampa, Florida, Kathy was a vibrant soul who brought light and love to everyone she encountered.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Dorace Edwin Blanton and Eula Victoria Sistruck, her brother Jerry D. Blanton, and her sister Jacquelyn Smith. She is survived by her loving boyfriend of two years, Thomas Adam, her three devoted sons, Paul "Bud" (Maranda) Johnson III, Randy (Shannon) Johnson, and Chris "Critter" (Hannah) Sullivan, her sister Betty Lung, and her cherished grandchildren Coleman, Abbey, Logan, Tucker, Dylan, Jacie, Raymond, Taylor, Bailey, and Jacob.

Professionally, Kathy was a respected project manager at EMI manufacturing, where she demonstrated her leadership and dedication for many years. Her colleagues will remember her as a mentor who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Kathy's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She loved the beach, where she found peace in the rhythm of the waves and joy in the warmth of the sun. Traveling was another passion, and she had exciting plans to explore the world internationally with Thomas in the coming year. Fishing was more than a hobby; it was a tradition, especially cherished memories of Croom, where she spent time camping and fishing in her younger years.

Known for her love of glamping, Kathy found a way to combine her love for the outdoors with her desire for comfort, creating memorable adventures under the stars. Spa days were her treasured moments of relaxation, and she had an affinity for deviled crabs and Cubans, which reflected her love for the local flavors of her home state.

Above all, Kathy's grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a doting grandmother who reveled in every opportunity to spoil them with love and attention. Her family lovingly referred to her as a spitfire, a testament to her adventurous, loving, and courageous spirit.

Kathy's life was a testament to the words of Helen Keller: "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." She embraced every moment with a bold heart and a smile that could light up a room. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to seize every opportunity.

As we bid farewell to Kathy, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left on our hearts. Her adventurous spirit will continue to inspire us, and her loving memory will be cherished forever. Kathy's life was a journey filled with love, laughter, and the courage to embrace every adventure. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
