Juanita was born on May 21, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan.
She may have been 96 years old, legally blind, and on oxygen as needed, but that did not stop her. She was always moving her furniture around and until the last few months was doing her own laundry and cooking.
Her dog Buffy was the center of her life!! She loved taking her out and about the small trailer park on her electric scooter. She enjoyed visiting with others on her rounds. Playing cards with her special large print cards and being read to were her favorite pastimes.
She had absolutely no family left. She was an only child, outlived 4 husbands and her only child, a son who was mentally challenged.
God sent Deanna, Julie, and Peggy to be her family.
Juanita loved Jesus and would become upset whenever she misplaced her cross necklace. She attended St. Clement Catholic Church on a regular basis, until her health prevented it. She received Holy Communion weekly. She was a stickler for saying prayers before each meal. Especially, "God help my dog eat the food I laid out for her."
