Joyce Parker, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, in Plant City, Florida. Born on August 1, 1943, in Moultrie, Georgia, Joyce's life was a testament to her passionate spirit and nurturing heart.
Joyce was predeceased by her beloved parents, Leonard Eugene West and Essie Lorene Freeman, her devoted husband, Charlie Parker, and her cherished son, Rocky High, and her brother, Jimmy West. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by her loving daughter, Dodie High, her caring siblings, Robbie West, Dianne Cantrell, Debbie Harrell, her adored six grandchildren, and her three great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
For many years, Joyce served her community with dedication as a rural route carrier at the Thonotosassa Post Office. Her work was not just a job but a way to connect with the people on her route, whom she greeted with a warm smile and a kind word. Joyce's commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life as she was an active and cherished member of the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church. There, she formed lasting friendships and found great joy in fellowship with her church family.
Joyce's passions were as warm and inviting as her kitchen, where she loved to cook, creating dishes that brought her family and friends together. Her recipes were a blend of tradition and love, and she delighted in sharing them with those she cared for. Joyce's love for country music was another melody that ran through the tapestry of her life, providing a soundtrack to many cherished family gatherings.
Those who knew Joyce would describe her as loving above all else. Her passion for life was evident in everything she did, and her selflessness knew no bounds. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved, and her presence was a comfort to all.
Joyce Parker's life was a beautiful journey that touched many hearts. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
