John Roush Obituary

It is with profound sadness and an overwhelming sense of loss that we share the news of the passing of John Roush aka Bubbyman624. Born on June 24, 2015, in the sunny city of Tampa, Florida, John was a beacon of joy and creativity throughout his all-too-brief eight years. He departed from this world on December 14, 2023, in the same city that witnessed his first breath—Tampa, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that profoundly touched all who knew him.

John's early years were spent under the nurturing guidance of his loving parents, Laura and Robert Roush. His playful spirit was a constant source of happiness in their lives. The bond he shared with his twin brother, Donald, was one of camaraderie and mutual adoration, filled with laughter and memorable adventures. John's grandmother, Mary "Nena" Paris, along with his many aunts, uncles and cousins cherished him deeply, watching with pride as he grew into a young boy full of promise and warmth.

A student at Quail Hollow Elementary, John's inquisitive nature and thirst for knowledge were evident in his enthusiasm for learning. His academic journey was just beginning, and he approached each day with an eagerness that inspired his classmates and teachers alike.

John's passion extended beyond the classroom as he became an admired member of the University of South Florida Bulls basketball team. His dedication to the sport was matched only by his spirit of teamwork and fair play. John's presence on the court was a testament to his determination and the sheer joy he found in every game.

Off the court, John's creative soul found expression through arts and crafts. His paintings were vibrant reflections of his inner world, full of color and life. Music was another of John's loves, and the melodies he coaxed from his guitar were as heartfelt as they were harmonious. But perhaps the simplest and most profound of his interests was his love for giving and receiving hugs—a pure exchange of affection and comfort.
John's spirit animal, the fox, was a reflection of his clever and playful nature. Just as the fox moves through the world with curiosity and grace, John navigated his life with a sense of wonder and a loving embrace for all. His hugs were legendary—a simple gesture that conveyed the depth of his affection and the warmth of his spirit.

Those who knew John would describe him as the embodiment of love and kindness. His smile was infectious, his laughter a melody that resonated in the hearts of his family and friends. In the words of Mother Teresa, "Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love." John lived this philosophy every day, sharing smiles and love generously and without reservation.

John's life, though brief, was a testament to the impact one individual can have on the world around them. His legacy is not measured in years but in the countless moments of joy he brought to those he encountered. He leaves behind a canvas of memories painted with his boundless love, a melody of laughter that echoes in the silence, and a warmth that continues to embrace us even in his absence.
In his all too brief eight years, John showed us what it means to be a fighter. His battles were faced with the courage of a warrior and the smile of an angel. He embraced each day with a heart full of love, spreading kindness like the most skilled artist spreads paint upon a canvas. Indeed, John overcame, again and again, leaving a legacy of hope and the power of a positive spirit.

In this moment of mourning, we find solace in celebrating the life of John Roush—a life lived with purpose, passion, and an abundance of love. We honor his memory by carrying forward the kindness he exemplified in our daily actions and by holding tight to the joy he brought into our lives.

As we say goodbye to our beloved John, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were graced by his presence. John's story may have been short, but the chapters he wrote in the hearts of those who loved him will be cherished for eternity.
