John Charles Morton Jr., known affectionately as "Jack", passed away on September 13, 2023, in Thonotosassa, Florida.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on March 12, 1941, Jack spent his formative years in South Holland, Illinois before making Florida his home. Jack was a loving husband to his wife, Susan Morton, and a dedicated step-father to Galen Garrison. His family will remember him as a man who, in the words of Mark Twain, "lived a life he was satisfied with". Jack was a man of humor, creativity, and immense love for his family. He held a Bachelor's degree and used his education to serve his community.
Jack dedicated 38 years of his life to the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, where he retired from his position as an assisted living facility supervisor. An avid Mopar aficionado, Jack was a proud member of the Brat Pack Mopar Club. He loved working on his classic cars and showcasing them at car shows. His enthusiasm for Mopars was infectious, and he was always eager to share his knowledge and passion with others.
Jack will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will forever be remembered.
