John Isbell Longest

John Isbell Longest, age 82, of Lakeland, FL passed away on January 3, 2020.

A native of Bruce, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Joe William Jr. and Bertha Crawford Longest.

Survivors include his wife; Tymisha Longest, children; Jennifer Longest Shultz, Diane Dawson, step children: Paul Pruitt, Lisa Pruitt, siblings; Bill Longest, David Longest, Buddy Longest, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

John is preceded in death by siblings; Ruth Longest, Tom Longest, and Joan Longest.

John worked as a Chemical Engineer with C.F. Industries. He was a member of Springhead Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. John was a member of the Tampa Bay Ski Club, his favorite place to snow ski was Copper Mountain in Colorado.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2020 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Springhead Baptist Church, 3106 South Wiggins Road, Plant City, FL 33566. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM.
