Obituary

Jesse "Dan" Park, known affectionately as "Dangerous Dan", passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2023, in Tampa, Florida. Born on August 30, 1957, in Torrance, California, Dan lived a life full of adventure, generosity, and selflessness.

Dan was the beloved son of the late Mildred Taylor and John Park. He was also a cherished stepson to Annette Park. He was a devoted husband to Melanie White and a loving father to Samuel Park, Melissa Hanneman, Erica Avellan, and Hillary Failes. Dan was also a proud grandfather to Sam, Phoenix, Rylie, Bernardo, Jack, Melanie, Alice, Camilla, and Eleanor, and a doting great-grandfather to Bernie and Beatrice. He was a respected son-in-law to Camilla Pass. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Dan was a proud veteran, having served in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline and resilience that he carried throughout his life. After his service, Dan worked as a machinist for many years. His dedication to his work was evident in the quality of his craftsmanship and his commitment to his colleagues.

Dan was known for his adventurous spirit. He was always ready for a new challenge or experience, and his enthusiasm was infectious. He was also incredibly generous, always willing to lend a hand or share what he had with others. His selflessness was a testament to his character, and he was always there for those in need.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Taylor, and his father, John Park. He is survived by his wife, Melanie; his children, Samuel (Lindsey), Melissa (Chris), Erica (Bernardo), and Hillary (John); his stepmother, Annette; his mother-in-law, Camilla; his grandchildren, Sam, Phoenix, Rylie, Bernardo, Jack, Melanie, Alice, Camilla, and Eleanor; and his great-grandchildren, Bernie and Beatrice.

Dan's life was a testament to his strength, his love for his family, and his commitment to serving others. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
