Jeffrey Martin Young, known affectionately as Jeff to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023, at the age of 54, in Temple Terrace, Florida. Born on September 4, 1969, in Jacksonville, Florida, Jeff's early years were filled with the warmth of the Florida sun and the loving care of his family. Predeceased by his mother, Sharon Straka, and brother, Brian Young, Jeff's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his father, Donald Young, stepfather Joe Straka, and brother Justin (Lisa) Straka. Jeff's life was one marked by a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for adventure. His enthusiasm for hiking and camping was contagious, and he often found solace and joy in the embrace of nature. Jeff's faith as a Christian was a guiding light in his life, and he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he found fellowship and purpose in service to others. Professionally, Jeff was known for his dedication and hard work. He spent many years in sales, where his genuine and gentle demeanor earned him the respect and friendship of colleagues and clients alike. Later, he transitioned into security, where his protective and caring nature shone through, ensuring the safety and well-being of all those around him.
