Jeanne Marie Kelly, born on January 1, 1940, in Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida, leaving behind a life remembered for kindness, warmth, and a spirited personality that touched the hearts of many.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Sylvio H. Carpentier and Simone V. Maynard. Jeanne carried with her throughout her life the values of family, resilience, and devotion that were instilled in her from an early age.
Jeanne was the devoted wife of the late Timothy J. Kelly, who preceded her in death on December 27, 2016. Their life together was marked by companionship, shared memories, and the steady love that comes from years spent side by side. She treasured her family above all else and found great joy in the relationships she nurtured over the years.
She is survived by her children, Sue Davidson, Mike Fredette, Stephen Fredette and his wife Kristin. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Christine Fredette. Jeanne was also blessed with eight living grandchildren, each of whom brought her pride and happiness. Her family will remember her as a loving mother and grandmother whose presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and encouragement.
Jeanne was known for her lively spirit and her enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life. She loved to hear gossip, and she had a playful interest in the conversations and stories that brought people together. She also enjoyed cribbage and poker, pastimes that reflected both her sharp mind and her appreciation for good company. Those who spent time with her knew that she could be both entertaining and engaging, with a personality that was as interesting as it was endearing.
A member of Liberty Baptist Church, Jeanne valued faith and fellowship. Her church community was an important part of her life, and she found strength in belonging to a congregation where kindness and friendship were shared freely. She was remembered there as a woman who was kind, spunky, and loving, qualities that defined the way she lived and the way she treated others. Her faith and her relationships were central to who she was, and she carried herself with a gentle spirit that left a lasting impression.
Though she is no longer with us, Jeanne Marie Kelly's legacy remains in the family she loved, the friendships she formed, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and spirited nature. Her memory will be treasured always, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
