James Brannock Obituary

Dr. James Wyatt Brannock Sr., known affectionately as Jim to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, in Plant City, Florida. Born on June 14, 1943, in Lumberton, North Carolina, Jim was the cherished son of the late Archiebald Eugene Brannock and Nora Newsome. His life was a testament to his dedication to his family, his country, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Jim's academic journey culminated in earning a doctorate, a reflection of his lifelong commitment to education and excellence. His intellectual pursuits were matched by a distinguished military career, where he served with honor and distinction as a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. Jim's leadership and strategic acumen were further showcased through his authorship of the business book "10 Day B.C.A. (Business Care Analysis)," which became a valued guide for many aspiring professionals.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jim was a man of diverse interests and passions. He had an insatiable love for travel, exploring the world's vast cultures and landscapes, which provided him with endless stories and memories to share with his loved ones. His adventurous spirit was an inspiration to many, and his tales of distant lands will be fondly remembered by those who had the pleasure of listening.

Jim's legacy is carried on by his devoted children, Kendal (married to Todd Donohoe) and Wyatt Brannock, and his beloved granddaughter, Alexa Donohoe. His role as a father and grandfather was one he embraced with all his heart, instilling values of courage, integrity, and kindness. The wisdom he imparted and the love he shared will continue to guide his family for generations to come.

Dr. James Wyatt Brannock Sr. lived a life marked by service, intellect, and adventure. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, yet his influence will remain as a beacon of the principles he held dear. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we celebrate the enduring impact of his journey through life. Jim's story does not end here, for his spirit lives on in the memories we cherish and the lives he touched.
